Course development
Building a CE course of your own?
I help instructors and education providers take a North Carolina real estate CE course from an idea to Commission approval to a class that works in the room. You keep your course and teach it your way.
Courses I’ve written or adapted
I’ve been an approved Education Provider with the NC Real Estate Commission (#1807) since 2024.
- 2-T Gone Wild: Professional EditionA 4-hour residential CE elective I wrote and teach at Pitt Community College, in person and live online.
- Commercial Forms Gone Wild: Professional EditionA 4-hour commercial elective, approved by the NC Real Estate Commission in 2026 for in-person and synchronous delivery.
- GenUp Commercial and BICUp CommercialCommercial versions of the Commission’s annual Update courses, rebuilt each year when the new material is released.
- Enhanced Fair Housing Training & Code of EthicsReal Stories, Real Consequences, Real Solutions for Today’s AgentsA 4-hour course approved by the NC Real Estate Commission: fair housing law, from its history to steering, implicit bias and appraisal bias, and the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, its complaint and arbitration process, and the key Articles, taught through real case studies. At 4 hours it earns NC CE credit plus either NAR’s fair housing or Code of Ethics credit. At 4.5 hours it covers all three in one class.
How a course comes together
These are the same steps I follow for my own courses.
Shape the idea
Pick a topic brokers need, define the audience, and outline sections that fit a four-hour class.
Write the course
Content, real transaction scenarios, quiz questions, role-play exercises, and instructor notes.
Get it approved
Prepare the Commission application, then work through reviewer feedback and revisions until it’s approved.
Teach it well
Set it up for in-person and live online delivery, and adjust after the first classes.
Ways we can work together
Every project is quoted after a conversation about what you need.
Review what you have
You’ve drafted a course and want a second set of eyes before it goes to the Commission.
Build it with you
We develop the course together, from outline through approval.
Adapt or license a course
Take one of my courses, or an existing course, and fit it to your audience, such as a commercial version of a residential class.
